Great Lakes Day

Today was our transition from mountains to farm land in the Great Lakes region. After getting a much needed good nights sleep, we left Buffalo, New York and headed west on 90. Our route took us through New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana and finally into Michigan.

Most of the day was spent in Ohio and I've got to say that it was not one of my favorite states. This route took us along Lake Erie. We passed by Lake Ontario yesterday and we will take the ferry across Lake Michigan tomorrow. The prize for the most beautiful ride today goes to Michigan. By far it has the best roads and the tree lined highway was gorgeous. It was spotted with small lakes. What a great ride.

Thanks again for reading my blog and please stay in touch. Also, for those of you that know what's going on, I'd appreciate your prayers. The sale on my home fell through today, we were suppose to close today. Now it has to go back on the market and we need a buyer ASAP.

Just knew you'd love to see a nice picture of our bikes...

  1. I love the Great Lakes - didn't discover it until the last year Tom worked for UPS and we spent several weeks exploring Michigan and Wisconsin. Love the upper peninsula of Michigan. Hope you have a great time and buy some dried cherries for me.

  2. Hello Tom

I agree with you that Michigan has some great beauty not often recognized. So does Wisconsin. The Hochkammers' reside in Ann Arbor if you are in the area. It is a great ferry ride across Lake Michigan too. Think it is on the S S Badger. Neat old boat. Glad you are having fun and enjoying the trip. Enjoy hearing your blogs and seeing the photos. All well at this end.

Sorry to hear about the sale falling through. Let me know it there is anything I can do from this end to help you out.
